Abstract: The desire to transmit volumetric information from a gas meter to a central location and also the desire to have instantaneous flow rate data from the different type meters has led to the development of a basic pulse generator system and solid state devices to accomplish this end. The equipment to be discussed is applicable to the Turbine and Rotary Meters, and orifice meter facilities.
