Abstract: This paper depicts the mechanics of educating the company work force in the three disciplines of corrosion control: 1. Pipe Coating 2. Cathodic Protection 3. Electrical Insulation from Foreign Pipe- A soil bos demonstration using the various pipes encountered in street right-of- way, i.e., coated steel, cooper, and cast iron is presented in language understood by the man in the ditch. The construction of a simulated gas pipe system is done in front of the group being trained. They actually see the voHage changes of their pipe as a result of the three facets of a corrosion control program.
