Abstract: In the natural gas industry, H 2 S and total sulfur are moni- tored to validate tariff limits or to ensure process specifica- tions are maintained at receipt, sales, and process con- trol points throughout the system. Typical measurement ranges are 0-20 ppm for H 2 S and 0-100 ppm for total sul- fur on transmission lines. Wellhead treating, particularly shale gas development has created the need to measure higher ranges of 1000 to 5000 ppm measurement at H 2 S treater skid inlet with a target treater outlet of 1 to 5 ppm.
