Abstract: This paper has been prepared to give a basic overview of the electronic components within the oil and gas industry and how they function. Each unit of measure in this paper is named after experimenters in the field of electricity. The amp was named after Frenchman Andre M. Ampere. The volt was named after Italian scientist Alessandro Volta. And lastly the ohm, named after German scientist Georg Simon Ohm.
