Abstract: Magnetics is a not often encountered area of metrology. This paper will give a very brief description of some of the more frequently encountered magnetic units. It then describes the intrinsic standard (nuclear magnetic resonance) for this area of metrology and the work being carried out at the United States Navy Primary Standards Laboratory.
