Abstract: Flow computers have been so common place over the last ten years, that they almost appear to be a commodity item. This perception is mainly due to the advances in electronic technology, software techniques and manufacturing advances. Flow computers have become simpler, better, faster and less expensive. To know where the future of flow computers lies ahead, we must understand what the role of a flow computer has provided us.
