Abstract: Evaluation of thermodynamic properties of fluids, single elements or mixtures, is performed by using the NIST Reference Fluid Thermodynamic and Transport Properties Database (REFPROP), Version 9.1 in addition, this informatics tool is executed through the Statistical Computing Software R. The beauties of R for generating random numbers makes possible the implementation of the GUM Supplement 1 to produce coverage intervals for the measurand. Examples are included to estimate density, expansibility coefficients and flow rate through orifice plates.
