Abstract: The downstream flow of 90single bend was investigated by computational fluid dynamics (CFD). An acoustic transit time flowmeter was exposed to the downstream flow at various positions. Measurement errors with different meter configurations and effects of pipe wall roughness were discussed. Numerical simulation results of three diameter pipes 0.1m, 1m and 10m with increasing the roughness from 0 to 1mm were presented within Reynolds number (Re) range from 5 103 to 5106
